The global field of rail transit is experiencing the most rapid development in recent history. New technologies such as 5th Generation communication, satellite navigation and artificial intelligence are linking up to traditional rail transit to entail unprecedented changes to people’s travel modes. In the foreseeable future, lands and mountains will no longer be able to obstruct the transmission of friendship.
As one of the first schools in New China to cultivate train drivers and technicians, Zhengzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College has been leading the trend of rail transit technology in the past 70 years and is committed to serving the local railway industry and that of other developing countries. As of now, we have established formal mechanism of cooperation with more than 20 colleges and universities in Australia, Russia, Canada, Britain and other countries. We have also overseas branches, as well as teaching and training bases in South Africa, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Laos to train local technicians and promote the inclusive development of rail transit industry. In 2020, our college won the Award of Excellence in the category of Student Support Services presented by World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP). Not only is this an honorable recognition of our past achievements, it is also the best form of encouragement for our future development.
When the wind is right, it is time to set sail. On the journey to build a world-class high vocational institute, we will instill the spirit of Silk Road idealism of co-building and sharing as espoused by President Xi Jinping, and earnestlyinvite friends from all over the world to jointly innovate and guide future development trend of rail transit technology. Together, this will entail due contribution to building a community with a shared future for mankind.
